The Library's Collection

The library collection contains over 9,000 items. We are constantly adding new materials, so feel free to come check them out! We have non-fiction and fiction books in many genres, and a special corner for children's books. Not a reader? We also have over 800 DVDs and Blu-rays to choose from!

If you're looking for something local, we have a special section of Texas reference books available. Additionally, we have the Rosebud News from 1904 to 2010 available on microfilm. Find out more here

Something unique to our library is our complete collection of National Geographic magazines spanning from 1943 to 2013. Come by the library to look through them!

Audiobooks and Ebooks

D Brown Memorial Library provides access to over 19,000 digital items through Overdrive. Any patron can use their library number and password to log in and borrow items. If you have not set up a password on our online catalog, you must do so before logging in to Overdrive. If you have any issues, please call us during open hours and we will be happy to assist you!

Reference Assistance

If you are researching something specific, come by the circulation desk and we can assist you with finding materials or using the public computers. Additionally, library patrons can access the TexShare Databases, where you can find homework help, health or business information, academic journals, popular magazines, genealogy, or job and career development. Library staff can assist you with logging into the database and navigating through it.

Youth Services

Children and youth are welcome in the library, and we have plenty of young adult and easy reader books to choose from. Additionally, we have four computers available for anyone under 18 (please refer to our internet policies here). We have a section of kids and family movies for easy browsing.
